EASTLAKE, Ohio — Strong storms that swept along Lake Erie knocked out power and split apart trees.
The City of Eastlake mayor says more than 20 homes have been damaged by fallen trees during storms Monday night that continued the next morning.
Some of the trees are blocking roadways.
Officials say it will take about one to two hours before power can be restored. About 1,000 customers have been reporting power outages in the area.
Officials urge residents to stay away from any live wires as crews make repairs.
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Lake County until Tuesday night.
